Ganesh Chaturthi or Ganesh Festival is a day on which Lord Ganesha, the son of Shiva and Parvati, is believed to bestow his presence on earth for all his devotees. It is also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi or Vinayaka Chavithi in others Indian languages. It is celebrated as it is the birthday of Lord Ganesha. The festival is observed in the Hindu calendar month of Bhaadrapada, starting on the shukla chaturthi. Ganesha, the elephant-headed son of Shiva and Parvati, is widely worshipped as the supreme god of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune.The first person to observe the 'vrat' (vow) of Ganesh Chaturthi was Chandra - the moon. Ganesh Chaturthi is a festival in Lord Ganeshas honour and is

celebrated in the states of Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. This festival also inspires devotees to inculcate two virtues; obeying

the commands of God and His choicest devotee, and consolidating faith in them, just as Ganeshji had faith and trust in Parvati regarding circumambulating 

his parents.

Everyone needs to remember 9 11 .Too many time we close our eyes to forget the pain.May we never forget.May we never close our eyes, may the memories of the people who dies this day live on forever in our hearts. May we remember the message that was sent this day and remind us daily that we are under attack by an enemy who will not stop until the day of the lord.

11 september memorial , 9 year after In memory of all those people who lost there live in the World Trade Center Tragedy . Now that the squabbling is over, officail says the biggest push is to get the 9 11 memorial ready for next year's 10th anniversary of the attacks. Larry Silverstein, site developer, says Towers 1 and 4 will be ready for tenants in 2013.At the same time, bids are being let to build towers 2 and 3.
